The structure and production process of ultra-high pressure short arc xenon lamp

Ultra-high-pressure short-arc Xenon Lamps come in two configurations: open and sealed. The sealed type combines a Xenon Lamp with a glass envelope coated with a vapor-deposited reflective film. The Reflector is integrated into the lamp, creating a pre-focused structure. For example, a 500W short-arc Xenon Lamp incorporates a Reflector and lamp housing, enabling both focusing and ensuring equipment safety.

Currently, most short-arc Xenon Lamps worldwide share a similar structure. They consist of a spherical or ellipsoidal quartz glass envelope with cylindrical extensions at each end—side arms. These side arms house the support, connecting the electrode rods and sealing points of the two electrodes. They also house the lamp cap or leads for connecting to external electrical equipment. They also provide mechanical support and adjust the lamp to match the optical system of the equipment.
